Swap Meet - Donations for Silent Auction Table

It's time to begin asking for donations to The Silent Auction Table - for this year's Swap Meet.

At past Swap Meets, we had approximately a dozen donated items such as fish, plants, fish foods, books, driftwood, etc. One of the most memorable items was the bag of Apisto Rotpunkt juvies donated by Candy Chapman... that lone donation raised $35 for the club - and the bidding "war" was a lot of fun.

Kindly take a look around your fish room, and consider making a donation to this year's Silent Auction Table.

Please post what you'll be bringing. Thank you!

As far as dry goods, is it new, unopened only? Or is gently used okay?

    Thanks Mina - and Ricky...

"gently used" is just fine. What I ask myself in this instance is..."would somebody be willing to make a $5 or $10 donation for this item?"

If you're in doubt... send me a PM.

We appreciate the support of the Swap Meet, and of GCAS.

    Thank you.

We will be donating a pair of Apistogramma cacatuoides-
White Triple Red male, normal Triple Red sibling female. These should throw 50-50 Whites and normals. If the female hasn't inherited the WTR gene, you will get them in the F2's.

Tony / Sue... now we're cookin'! That's a great donation - thank you!

Earlier today - I stopped into Indoor Outdoor Aquatics - 641 Monmouth Street Newport KY...

Beth and Rick donated several nice items for the Silent Auction Table:
Several sets of Marina brand micro LED lighting kits,
A Hydor brand Deco' Line illuminated "Greek Temple" decoration, and
An Aqueoon Mini Bow Desktop 5.0 kit.

A BIG thank you! goes out to Rick and Beth at Indoor Outdoor Aquatics.

I should also note - that a second set of items as noted here was also donated to us for fundraisers at future GCAS events.
All told - their generous donation to us was in excess of $200 retail. Very nice!

Hi I will be attending the swap meet. I went to the auction at Miami and I had a great time. All of the fish I bought are still alive and well. I have a diatom filter I got as a total package fish equipment deal with a coworker. I never used it because I have a newborn and don't want to mess with the powder. It's used but the guy I got it from says it works fine. I'll be willing to donate to the auction if it would be accepted. No use sitting around in the garage!
