    Looking good!

Is that algae slimy or thready?

Also, did the Nymphoides sp. or the Val or the Hairgrass work out for ya?

the algae thats on the driftwood and everything else is slimy and stringy like moss. The stuff on the gravel seems to be blue green algae . But its getting eaten , i think the cory cats ate some . The hairgrass is still in the tank but hasnt grown any at all. The tetra are probably eating it too as they are eating the jungle val

Cynobacteria thrives on nitrates and phosphates. What are your nitrate levels? How could phosphates be entering?

I can't tell from the pic-
Is the stringy stuff made of short strings or long (12" or more)? Do the pieces grow individually, in mats, or in tufts? Are individual pieces baby fine, almost invisible in your hands, or coarser and easy to see in your hand? Is it bright emerald green, or a duller green, or black, or grey-green? Is it single strands or branching strands?
Knowing which will help identify and therefore get rid of. In the meantime you can twirl a toothbrush in it to manually remove it (if its hair or thread, not if its fuzz or staghorn or brush).
