    Total Loss

Last Friday I added a couple of small lace synos, bought from Meiers, to my 125 gallon Mbuna Tank. First the Acei got sick and died, then the Zebra's, then the Saulosi a couple of Rusties and the Syno's died too. I had done multiple large water changes, added "Prime" used other tanks to seperate healthy from sick, all to no avail. As of this morning a couple of rusties remain. I figure I'll drain the tank completely and let it dry out a week or two and clean out the AC 110's too. (Is this a good strategy?) I will then look to restock, fry would be fine as I love watching them grow out and up! If you can help out a fellow hobbyist, I'm willing to pay too, I would be thankful.

sorry to hear that glen. Did the fish have ich that killed them? Just asking because i think you can leave water and media while tank is running without any fish in it. If you raise temp to 85 and let it sit a couple weeks and the ich should die from not finding a host thus leaving behind a healthy cycled tank? I in the past saw those same awesome looking synos at meijers. i unforyunately lost them to ich. good luck

Well Glenn, if it makes you feel any better I lost all 4 of my stingrays! They were the only thing that died in a 90 gallon tank with a breeding pair of angels and a breeding pair of Blue Guoramis....I still have NO CLUE what killed them!
